Lineal now troubleshoots with IQ Qualification cable testing

Lineal’s expertise has now expanded to provide network, audio and coax cable IQ Qualification cable testing.  We can graphically map your wiring configuration and check for quality and bandwidth.  Our new equipment will accurately troubleshoot any defects and detect unused ports and all devices.

This new service offered by Lineal employs a qualification tester which troubleshoots and qualifies cabling speed to see if your existing cabling has the bandwidth to support voice, 10/100, VoIP or Gigabit Ethernet.  We can show why existing cabling cannot support the network’s bandwidth requirement such as crosstalk at 11 meters.

Our specialist equipment detects what’s at the end of any cable and displays device configuration, including speed, duplex and pairing.  Another advantage is that the equipment identifies unused switch ports, that can be reallocated for greater efficiency.

Lineal can now graphically map wiring configuration and show distance to faults with Intelligent Wiremap.  All copper cabling wire can be tested including patch cabling, twisted pair, coax and audio cabling.

We can now quickly isolate cabling from network problems and discover what is at the far end of any cable.  That means we can fault-find faster, reduce on-call time, and save money by better utilising your existing infrastructure.  Our frontline engineers can identify and troubleshoot a wider range of problems within your infrastructure, which can now produce a reduction of problem escalation by up to 30%.
